Marshall Restoration has recommended Mad Engineering for building, dialing-in and dynamometer (dyno) testing the Ford Essex 3.0 liter engine. I wasn’t sure if I could find an engine builder experienced with the Ford Essex in the US, but after talking to the owner, Lee Day, I was convinced that Mad Engineering was an excellent choice.
Tomorrow, I am heading out to Mad Engineering to deliver my engine with Tim Testerman of Marshall Restoration. I plan to spend a few minutes explaining what I’m looking for in a performance engine that is still a good street engine, too. It will be exciting to see what Mad Engineering and Car Clinic can put together.
